Today I have completed two years with Bluehost shared WordPress hosting. I have migrated my blog from Dreamhost to Bluehost in August 2016. I have discussed what issue I faced during the migration. A good WordPress hosting can take your blog to the next level which Bluehost is doing with all their two million customers.
I have shared my thoughts about Bluehost affiliate program. Here I am sharing you my experience of Bluehost shared WordPress hosting review.
Why I choose Bluehost shared WordPress hosting?
As I told you, my blog was hosted on Dreamhost web hosting, and it was a great experience with it. I am also writing my reviews for Dreamhost web hosting stay tuned to read it. The only thing which diverted me to Bluehost is the pricing Factor. If you see the pricing of Dreamhost, it started from $7.95/month which is not affordable for the beginners. As a beginner, I wanted to try the lowest price WordPress hosting.
Now the question is that why I have started my blog on Dreamhost? When I have moved my blog to self-hosted web WordPress, I got a coupon for Dreamhost for 97% discount which is huge discount I ever got. So I thought that I would host my blog for one year on Dreamhost and later on I will migrate on the new hosting.
Once the year over I have searched a lot of WordPress hosting services, and I came with the Bluehost because the WordPress itself recommends it. Also, the pricing of the Bluehost starts from the $2.95/month which I can afford.
What issue did I face after moving to the Bluehost?
Frankly speaking, I have encountered few problem with Bluehost WordPress hosting. Here I want to share one mistake with me with all my readers. When I have migrated my blog from Dreamhost to Bluehost, my blog was not opening showing the directory structure only. That time I have contacted Bluehost support, but they did not understand what I was trying to say. That was not mistaken from their side because I have not explained the issue in detail.
Then I tweeted that Bluehost is not excellent hosting and support is not able to understand our queries. I am sorry for that later I have deleted the tweet. The problem was that I had not changed the old DNS name and trying to open my blog that’s why it was showing only directory structure. One of their support team solved my problem quickly. Due to this I have asked their support for a refund of money, and even they have accepted it, but later on, I decided to continue with Bluehost.Purchase Bluehost hosting just at $2.95/month
The second issue which I have faced with Bluehost FTP section. I don’t know the FTP file structure for Bluehost, To FTP all my data I have encountered so much issue even that problems are also from my side. One thing which I came to know about Bluehost is that you will see the file manager in cPanel itself. That’s nice no need to connect with Filezilla.
One thing which I most like about Bluehost hosting is that their support team. They have hired very talented people for support. Mostly I use Live chat support to get a quick solution. I have contacted them few times, and they have solved my issue within a minute.
Why I have called customer support
- How to configure a mail client to mobile and Outlook?
- I wanted to upgrade my plan to host more websites, so I contacted them.
- To know more offers from Bluehost support team
Overall I am delighted with the Bluehost support team. Overall and Live chat also.
I am using shared Bluehost hosting.Initially, I thought I would get a more downtime because of shared hosting but its wrong. My blog is very fast and always up.
I am planning to host my new blog bollywoodplanet on Bluehost for that I need to upgrade my hosting to plus plan. I have connected with the support team, and they have offered me $70/year after deducting my current hosting price. It’s a good idea to upgrade, but I am not ready yet to set up a new blog. Currently, I am hosting it on free blogger platform, later on, I will move on to Bluehost hosting.
Now, I am using Bluehost shared WordPress hosting basic plan for $3.95/month. This is very popular with beginners bloggers. Most of the bloggers start their journey with this plan, and as the day passes their blog becomes popular, they will upgrade their hosting. If you see the shared hosting plans, it starts from the $3.95 but on a special day you will get it at $2.95, so I would suggest you wait for that particular day it will save your $12.
Basic plan has one limitation which I am facing now, and we can host only on the website on this plan. If you want to host more site, then you have to upgrade it t plus plan which offers unlimited websites to host. This is the most popular plan as people want to host more sites on the same hosting.
